Jeff Walls Prowler Member #

Hi, my name is Jeff walls and I am proud to be the newest member of the “Prowlers”, thanks to the invitation of Marty Simonides and the warm reception from all of the members.

From my early beginnings in Southeast San Diego, I poured over all the hot rod mags and hung around some of the older neighborhood kids with their hot rod Fords and Mercs. On my paper route was a high school kid always working on his red oxide primed 34 Cabriolet with no hood, decked out flathead, w/w’s and dropped axle.  This vision imprinted on my mind.

During high school and Jr. college, I had the pleasure of owning and slowly improving upon a 39 Ford 2D, and a 46 Ford pick-up.  Career, Family and home ownership put a kabosh on the hot rod stuff.

Fast forward to 2000 and my retirement.  I had the good fortune of consulting with and ultimately contracting with John Ray of Ray’s Fabrication and Development on constructing a street rod from and original 34 cabriolet body and frame.  Despite writing checks that would equal a cord of firewood, I couldn’t be more pleased with the results.
