John has a cherry 1932 Ford Pick-up.  He has been hot rodding cars since he was a kid.  In the 1960’s John built a nice 1940 Ford truck with a built-up Ford flat-head engine top off with 3 Stromberg carburetors.  It really smoked.

His 1970’s project was a great looking 1935 Ford pick-up.  In the late 1990’s John acquired his current club car which has been souped up with a Cadillac V8 and a 1939 gearbox.  It also has a ‘Gear Vendors’ overdrive unit in it for cruising.

John’s current passion is an historical hot rod, a 1927 Ford Model T roadster – which he calls the “Toy T” because that is what it was called when featured in early 1950’s era hot rod magazines.

This car was also previously built and owned by 3 other Prowler club members.  Hoot Gibson had the car in the 1940’s.  Carl Burnett and Bob Smith had it in the 1950’s.  You can imagine that there is a lot of history behind it.  It has been in numerous hot rod featured magazines.

John hopes to have the “T” finished by the end of this year.  That will then be the fourth time this car has been a Prowlers  club car.  Good luck John!  We look forward to seeing you driving the car.
