Swede Sommer Prowler Member #131

Swede joined the Prowlers in 1972. His pride and joy was a 1930 Ford Sedan Delivery which he drove for many years. He had a “mis-hap” with it in 1973 and was a ‘co-pilot’ for a couple of years before finding his current car in 1975.

Swede was voted a Life Member in 2017.

Ah yes, his sweet 1932 Ford Sedan has been his ride since 1975. The paint today is the same as it was in 1975, black with gold pin-striping. Swede has continually upgraded the drive train. The engine, gearbox and rear end are all newly updated and this car really goes down the road.

Swede spent a lot of this time in the Navy so for a time, making cruises was a lttle challenging, but now that he is ‘retired’ he is busier than ever. You will see this car on many cruises and in many car shows today. But if you see in on the freeway, better look quick cause it really moves along. In fact, the Prowlers decided not to let Swede lead on too many cruises. Why? because many of us can’t keep up with him. (Ha Ha)
